10 Months!

Well we are in the double digits!  Reagan is 10 months old!  I can't believe it!  Time needs to slow down!

It's hard not to get blurry picture with this girl.  She is on the move!!
 Looking super fly:

This was from our snow day.  I just love snow days!

Reagan's BFF- Mackenlie!
My sweet Valentine's!  Notice how Reagan crosses her legs-- such a lady!

 Happy Baby!
Reagan loves to go to the park and swing!
Reagie crashed out on our walk:
Slide time with Mommy and Daddy!

Eat: Reagan is an excellent eater!  She pretty much likes everything.  Recently she tried mac n cheese and brisket.  She loved it!

Play- This kid plays like a champ!  Seriously, she's the energizer bunny.  She just never stops!  Her "toy" of choice is a book cover from one of our coffee table books.

Sleep- Reagan goes to bed around 7:30 and wakes up around 6:30.  Not to shabby.  It's so nice that she's sleeping through the night!

Accomplishments/ Tricks/ Discoveries: Reagan has become a world class crawler.  She likes to corner Rowdy and Lucy.  It's really funny, because they are still scared of her.  She also pulls up on everything.  She's even starting to walk while holding on to the couch with both hands.  She loves to clap, wave, and say "DaDa," "BaBa," and "MaMa"

Reagan,

You are the best.  I can't imagine my life without you.  You make everything better.  I love you so much and I'm so proud of you.  I love when you see me and start clapping and have a big smile.  I love watching you play with your friends and discovering new things.  You are such a sweet, beautiful little girl.  I love you.  My heart is so full.

 My little sous chef!

Snuggles with Daddy!  We usually have a strict rule that Reagan is not allowed to sleep in our bed.  However, that morning Reagan got up around 5.  I went ahead and fed her and she feel back asleep as she was eating.  I didn't want to move her so I let her snuggle with her Daddy.  This picture is just too sweet.

Look at those toofers!
 Daddy's girl!

Eat:  Reagan is a pro eater.  It's so funny, she's like clockwork.  About every 4 hours she begins to get a little fussy.  That's when we know it's time to eat.

Play:  This girl can play!  She is definitely in no shortage of toys!  She also loves to play with the dogs.  She's soooo fun right now.  I can't believe how big she is getting.  It seems like every day she does something new!

Accomplishments/ Tricks/ Discoveries: Reagan is an excellent crawler.  She has also started pulling up on stuff.  She has 8 teeth!  She loves to get into everything!

Sleep:  Reagan is a good sleep most nights.  She goes to bed between 7-8 and usually wakes up around 6ish.  This works pretty well for us and our schedule.

Reagan,

I love you so much!! I love how you make squeal sounds to get my attention.  You are such a big girl and I love spending time with you.  You make me so happy!

Why I still need my mom

Jerry and I had an eventful Sunday night/ Monday morning!  All day Sunday I was feeling crummy.  I had a temperature, but I was certain that I would be fine the next morning.  I was wrong.

Fast-forward to 12 AM on Monday morning.  Reagan starts crying and Jerry goes into her room to check on her.  Next thing I know, Jerry is throwing up in the bathroom and has literally passed out and has blood all over face.  At the same time, ways of nausea are starting to hit me.  It was my turn to get sick.  All this is happening and Reagan is screaming in her room.

I seriously thought I was going have to take Jerry to the hospital.  So many thoughts are going through my head.... "How will I drive him if I'm still throwing up?"  "I really don't want to expose Reagan to the emergency room germs."  "Is this a dream?"

So what do I do?  I call my mom in the middle of the night.  The conversation went something like this:

Me:  Hey.  What are you doing?
Mom: ummmm sleeping...
Me:  Well, Jerry's puking and bleeding everywhere because he passed out and I'm throwing up too.
Mom:  Oh my gosh, I'll be right there

And she was at our house within 20 minutes.  My mom took Reagan so she wouldn't be around all the germs.  We decided Jerry's face was okay and didn't need stitches.

All I can say is thank goodness for my mom.  Seriously, she totally came to the rescue. I'm so grateful for her.  Anytime I need her, she is always there.

This got me thinking about Reagan and how I want her to feel the same way about me.  I want her to know I will always be there just like my mom is for me.  I want her to know that she can call me in the middle of the night for anything.   I want to be the calming person when life is crazy.  I have big shoes to fill, but I have an excellent role model to look up to.

Mom- I love you so much and I am beyond grateful for you.  I am not ashamed to say that I still need you.  Thank for rescuing us.  You are the best.

Oh and if you are wondering,  I am feeling much better and Jerry is so so.  We are thinking it was a 24 hour bug.  Jerry's face is a bit banged up from passing out (we aren't really sure what he hit it on.)  Although not funny at the time, Jerry and I can't help but laugh about last night.  I mean seriously... you can't make this stuff up.

Virginia is for lovers and precious babies

On December 26 we took Reagan on her first big trip to Virginia to visit Karen, Larry, and Walker.  After doing much research on traveling with a baby, we were ready to go.

Check this cool mom out:
In all seriousness- the Baby Bjorn was the best thing ever.  I was able to wear Reagan all the way through security.  It was also nice when we had go to a different terminal in Charlotte.

Look at the this sweetness-- she's such a Daddy's girl!
My view as I'm walking to the the plane:
Tired baby!
WE MADE IT!!!  Reagan was awesome on both flights.  I'm talking no crying or fussiness!  She got an A+++++++++!

Funny story- So Jerry and I took the pacifier away at Thanksgiving.  Before getting on the plane we decided we would give it to her if she started crying and when the pressure changed.  Well...Miss Pris forgot how to use a pacifier!  We literally put it in her mouth and she just chewed on it.  I guess that back fired!
While we were in VA we visited with family and friends.  It's so nice seeing everyone.  We always have a great time when we go to Virginia.

Here is a picture of Austin.  This is Jerry's cousin's son.  Austin is about 2 months older than Reagan.  They drove 3 hours just to have lunch with us.  It was so great seeing them.
This is Cameron and Leah-- Jermey and Laurinda's twins! So cute!

While we were in VA, when visited the University of Virginia.  Walker is currently a freshman at UVA.  BEAUTIFUL campus!  I really enjoyed hearing about the history and seeing campus.

We also stopped by the Kappa Delta house.  AOT!

We had such a great time in Virginia!  I love going up there and I'm so grateful for this precious time with family.

Christmas

Why yes, I am just now posting about Christmas.  Time goes by so fast!  It seems like life is on fast forward right now.  Reagan's first Christmas was amazing--almost magical.  I loved decorating the tree with her, visiting Santa, and watching her play with wrapping paper.  It seemed like she liked the wrapping paper more than some of her gifts!  Here are some pictures from the holidays:

Reagan's gift to us- She made it at school.  I got a little chocked up when I opened it.  On the inside it's an ornament with her footprint on it.

Loving her new toy!

Reagan decided to get sick on the 23.  We are talking 103 temp.  Not fun.  She was a total champ through it all though.  This is her just hanging out.  I like to think she's saying, "I'm chillin like a villian."
Luke and Reagie enjoyed playing together.  So cute!

Finally!  It's Christmas!  Reagan was feeling much better and loved playing with her new toys!
She was definitely on the "Good" list!

Chritmas is so much fun when you have a baby!

8 months

This little girl is 8 months old!

It's kind of hard to get a picture these days that isn't blurry!  She is on move!!

Reagie loves bath time!  And yes, that is a storage bin that she's bathing in--- don't judge me!
Reagan is a dog lover!  Where did she get that from???  The dogs are not so in to her though.  They seem scared of her.  They probably don't know what to do.
Reagan also likes to go to lunch with Mackenlie.  Such sweeties!
 Oh my cuteness!
Eat- Reagan loves her fruits, but is not as in love with veggies.  We have to disguise the veggies, by mixing them with fruit.  She has sarted sticking her tounge out and trying food.  If it's fruit, she will open her mouth.  If it's a vegetable, she will turn her head away!  Sassy sassy!

Play- This girl can play!  Seriously, this girl hardy naps at school because she is too busy playing all the time.  She loves playing with all her new Christmas goodies.

Tricks/Discovies/ Accomplishments- She has started laughing alot! It's sooo sweet!  Makes my heart so happy. She also did awesome on her first flight to Virginia.  Everyone commented on what a super baby she was.  :)  Reagan can also now move from sitting to crawling with no trouble.  Hello baby proofing!

Reagan has also started to give kisses!

Sleep- Reagan goes to bed around 7:30-8ish and sleeps most nights through the night.  THANK THE LORD!

Reagan,

I love you so much!  Your sweet smile warms my heart.  Everytime I look at you, I feel so proud.  Thank you for being my daughter.  I love you.
