Alamo Bowl!

So after our New Year's celebration, we headed to San Antonio to support the Red Raiders! In San Antonio we met up with the Dustin, Taylor, Chase, Yasming, Jeff, Adriane, and Houston crew: Bard, Jason, Hayden, Robert. We had a great time of the riverwalk. We went to this restraunt where all the male servers wore cilts- I immediately thought of Chris Bruce. While we were out, I saw a bunch of my KD pledge sisters- I miss them! We danced all night and had a blast! The next day was dedicated to tailgating. When I say day, I mean ALLLLLLL DAY! We began tailgating at 12 and the game began at 8. We had a great time! It was nice just being able to hang with old friends. We had a great time and thank goodness our RED RAIDERS won. Go TECH! Goodbye Coach Leach- thank you for making us great!
Here are some pictures.

Christmas

The next weekend was CHRISTMAS!! It was me and Jerry's first Christmas and it was awesome!

Christmas Eve:
We went over to Rozlyn and Nathan's (my aunt and uncle) house and had a wonderful lunch/dinner. That was when it started to snow!! I couldn't believe it! It was so beautiful. It was really nice spending time with my family. After our lunch/ dinner we drove to Jerry's grandmothers house to visit with Francis (Larry's sister)from Arizona. I really didn't get a chance to talk to Francis at our wedding because we were so busy. It was really nice getting to talk with her. She is so funny! I've come to the conclusion that all Peterson's have fun personalities. When Jerry and I got home we drank some yummy hot chocolate exchanged one gift which were pj's and went to bed.

Christmas Day:
Yay for a White Christmas! Jerry and I got up covered in dogs. Ever since it's gotten cold outside the dogs take it upon themselves to hog our entire bed. I think the dogs take up the majority of the bed and Jerry and I hang on for dear life.

This year Jerry got me musical tickets---THE BEST GIFT EVER!!!! I get to go see Phantom of the Opera February 28,Rain March 21, and WICKED June 13! I can't wait! I love musicals! I got Jerry a new robe, a cool picture of all the tech fans running on to the field when we beat Texas last year, slippers, and a wallet. After we opened presents we went over to Jane's house for brunch. We had a great time eating and hanging out. Jane and Glenn got us the best present ever---an electric blanket--- it is amazing! The dogs love it too! It's so nice to spend time with family!

December 26:
Off to Virgina! The next day we flew out to Virginia to see Larry, Karen, and Walker. We had a great time! We played board games, we got addicted to this new Mario Brother's Wii game- so much fun!, and spent quality time together. I really enjoy going up there! We always have so much fun spending time with family. I think my favorite part about going to Virginia is playing games. I never realized how much I love boardgames! When me and Jerry have kids were going to have lots of family game nights! I also loved going to over to Rusty and Tracy's (Jerry's aunt and uncle). It's always fun hanging out with Sam, Rachael, and Hannah. They are all so sweet. Also, I was shocked when I saw Walker! It's only been like 6 months since I've seen him... he's grown! I could believe it! It was like he just grew up in 6 months. Who knows... next time I see him he'll have a beard!

Oh and I could never forget sweet Sophie! She is the sweetest most fluffy dog! I don't usually like small dogs, but Sophie is the sweetest baby!

December 31:
We got up early and flew back to Texas! Fortunately, there were no delays or issues with security. We got home around 3, picked up our babies from Lauren and Dave's (thank you Lauren and Dave for watching our precious angels!)and took a nap. We got up, got ready, and went out for a New Year's Celebration! We went out to Grapevine and had a blast! I must say, I have the greatest friends! I can't wait to spend many more New Year's with them. Happy 2010! (This picture is actually in Vegas... but I really like the picture and the animal print! rarrr!)

New Year's Resolution:

2. Lose weight

Sheryl and Bret's Wedding

Wow! It's been so busy! I'll start back with December 18ish. Jerry's Dad came in town because Bret (Jerry's cousin)was getting married! We had a great time hanging out and visiting with family. Sheryl (Bret's wife) and Bret's wedding was so beautiful. It was a church in Dallas called Watermark Community Church. It was very cool. They had all these different cake balls that Sheryl's mom made...oh my gosh... they were so good. She made like 800 of these cake balls the week of her daughters wedding--- WOW! Here's an engagement picture of Bret and Sheryl- they are so cute! All of Jerry's family came in town for the big event. It was great catching up with everyone.

Raiders vs. Baylor Bears

On November 29, Texas Tech played Baylor at the Cowboys stadium. It was so much fun! Jerry set up an amazing tailgate that included yummy fajitas and my home made sugar cookies. We had a great time hanging out with friends and watching Tech beat Baylor. Here are some pictures.

Thanksgiving and Turkey Trot

Thanksgiving was a little different this year. This year we celebrated Thanksgiving with Jerry's fam in Austin the day after Haley and Bretton's wedding. It was really nice to see everyone after the wedding. I think everyone could breathe easy knowing that the wedding went perfect. We celebrated Thanksgiving with my family the day before Thanksgiving. We had our get together at Lauren and Dave's house. It's so funny how much our family has expanded in just one year. We had 19 people at our Thanksgiving! This is a huge increase considering last year we just had a maximum 11 people. It's so nice seeing family and spending quality time with everyone.

So by the time Thanksgiving finally arrived, Jerry and I had nothing to do. Believe me... I am not complaining! It is so nice to sit at home and just hang. Lately, me and Jerry have been packing on the lbs....so we decided about a month ago to run the Turkey Trot in Fort Worth. The Turkey Trot is a 5k or 10k race that is in both Fort Worth and Dallas. We did the 5k in Fort Worth. We got up this morning at 6:45 and arrived just in time to park, take pictures of doggies, check in, and take our goodie bags back to the truck. It was perfect timing, I must say- even though Jerry was about to have a heart attack because he thought we were going to miss the race. There were dogs everywhere! I was in heaven! We didn't take Lucy and Rowdy... lets face it... they aren't the best behaved dogs. We ran the race in an even 30 minutes-- 10 minute mile not bad! It felt kind of like we ran a 10k because we had to zig-zag between walkers and baby strollers. It was so much fun! There were people dressed up like turkeys and even a 3 legged dog running the race- talk about overcoming your disability!

When we got home, Jerry made yummy waffles and ever since we been hanging low watching TV, napping, and eating. This is the life! Pretty soon were going to put up Christmas Stuff!!! I've been waiting so long!

Here are some pictures of the race:

Pre-race!

A dad- the chef and his daughter- the turkey! Too cute!

A large poodle. I've never seen a large poodle in my entire life. I've only seen the mini's. Today, I saw 3!

Henry and Mudge dog! I must have one!

This is just a random picture that I like. Please notice the cuteness of Rowdy and Lucy. I was in heaven!

I hope everyone has an amazing Thanksgiving!

Haley and Bretton's Wedding!

Haley and Bretton are officially married! Their wedding was this past weekend in Dripping Springs. It was one of the coolest weddings I've been to. The wedding was outside and looked out on the hill country and the reception was in a redone Ranch house. It was so cool! What I liked most were the little details... like the programs were hung up on a rope--too cute and the purple accents everywhere including party cups that said Haley and Bretton on it. The music during the ceremony was really good too. They played the instrumental version of Sweet Child of mine and had the recessional to the Shrek song.. "Then I saw her face... I'm a beliver." Everyone had a blast and I am so happy for Schulz's. Here are some pictures... these are just the ones off facebook, but I'll add the pictures from the photographers later.
