Lauren and Dave's Wedding!

Lauren and Dave had one of the most fun, amazing, and awesome weddings I have ever been to! Believe me, I have been to a lot of weddings and this is in the top 2! It was in Newport. Me and Jerry flew in with Mimi and Papa Friday afternoon. That night we all went out to eat at a place called Rusty Pelican. It was really good! The next day, me and Jerry walked to the beach and explored some breakfast places. We totally fit in with the locals... haha just kidding. Then me, Lauren, my mom, Heather (Lauren's new sister-in-law--Dave's brother's wife, and Reetha (Lauren's mother-in-law) all went to "Fashion Island" to get our hair done. Next, we went to the boat and got ready. The wedding and reception was on a boat and it was gorgeous! We went up and down the harbor, which was about 4 miles long. Dinner was delicious, dancing was awesome! Here are some pictures.

This is the boat-

Garage Sale

Today Jerry and I had a garage sale. Last night around 10:30 we put up lots of signs around the neighborhood. Oh yes, we went all out! We even put an ad on Craig's list. We sold 2 dresser (one that Rowdy chewed up), one table, head board/ foot board, clothes, purses, vases, and the list goes on and on. I kind of started to panic a little when Jerry put $1 on my Nicole Miller paintings, but Jerry had to keep reminding me that either way it's going to go to Mission Arlington. I'm so glad we sold all that stuff. This was a good "marriage" experience for Jerry and I. Jerry and I took turns on freaking out about selling different things. It's funny where we had our attachments. I didn't want to sell any of my college room stuff and Jerry didn't want to sell random sorority and fraternity shirts. Hmmm, you could say we can't let go of that part of our lives. Overall, it was really fun experience. We made...drum roll please....$116. That's not bad, considering we were going to donate it all. So hooray for garage sales.

Oh yes, we did see some random things too. One couple pulled up in an Cadillac Escalade. Which I thought was incredibly ironic...but hey if you can save a buck...save a buck! We also met the neighborhood gossip. She filled us in on all the dirt in the neighborhood, including the crazy neighborhood watch lady. Yes, it's true, our friendly neighborhood watch lady has a camera on her porch... Weird.

We had a good time and today is actually our 2 week anniversary. Cheers!

Honeymoon Time!

We had the most amazing honeymoon ever! When we arrived they gave us both a massage! They even had a sign that said, "Welcome Mr. and Mrs. Peterson." Then they asked us what kind of pillow we wanted! Jerry got goose feathers and I got natural. Then they asked what kind of aroma therapy we wanted- we got mint. The resort was amazing! The food was so good! We ate like kings... I think I gained 7 pounds..oooppss. It was totally worth it. Sunday was mainly a traveling day, we got to the resort around 4 and went straight to the beach. The water was just right- not too hot and not too cold. On Monday we relaxed more by the pool and beach. It felt so good not to have to worry about anything. On Tuesday we took a boat to this place where you can only get to by boat. They even let us drive the boat!
There we snorkled, kayaked, and watched a cool cooking lesson. We also got to see a baby monkey and a bunch of birds. One bird even gave me a kiss! Watch out Jerry- looks like someone is moving in on your wifey! . The next day we went on a tour of the city and a tequila tour. We saw a gorgeous church.

That night we walked to the downtown area which was about 10 minutes from the resort. There we saw so many cool things. We a saw these people on this really tall pole playing music,
art, a sand robot man, and these amazing sand sculptures. . On Thursday we decided to take it easy and lay out by the pool. We had contest on who could hold there breathe the longest and who had the best hand stand. It was really fun. That night we went to a local restaurant. It was so tasty and Jerry looked so cute!

Here are some pictures of the hotel. Oh yah, when we arrived they told us we were upgraded to the master pent house suite. Complete with 1 huge California King, a huge bathroom, 2 jacozzi's (one one the balcony and one in the bathroom), a beautiful view, and a kitchen fully stocked. Here are some pictures.

Oh and did I mention that we got the all inclusive package? Hello room service and dessert!

It was the most amazing, fun trip I have ever taken. People always say your honeymoon is the best vacation you'll ever take and I believe it. So now we're back in Texas, Jerry went back to work on Monday and I'm off until August 17. The plans now are to relax, be married, go to as many rangers games as we can afford, celebrate Rustin and Amanda and Lauren and Dave getting married. Oh and we're also having a garage sale. Hopefully we'll make some mooolah. This has been a crazy/ awesome/ whirlwind of a summer!

I now pronounce you man and wife!

We did it! Me and Jerry are officially married! What an amazing day! It was absolutely perfect! Someone asked me the other day if it was the best day of my life, and I would definitely say yes! Everything went so well. The flowers were beautiful, the cake was fun and spunky, the music was perfect, and ceremony was amazing. Shawn's speech was truly touching. My favorite part of the night (besides marrying Jerry) was the last song... Stoney La Rue- Feet don't touch the ground. Everyone surrounded us and I remember thinking, "These are the people that will be there forever." I remember everything... everyone always says it's going to be a blur. I made a point to look around and take a minute to take it all in. It was most definitetly the best day of my life!

This is a picture of us after we got our marriage license a few weeks before the wedding.
