Honeymoon Time!

We had the most amazing honeymoon ever! When we arrived they gave us both a massage! They even had a sign that said, "Welcome Mr. and Mrs. Peterson." Then they asked us what kind of pillow we wanted! Jerry got goose feathers and I got natural. Then they asked what kind of aroma therapy we wanted- we got mint. The resort was amazing! The food was so good! We ate like kings... I think I gained 7 pounds..oooppss. It was totally worth it. Sunday was mainly a traveling day, we got to the resort around 4 and went straight to the beach. The water was just right- not too hot and not too cold. On Monday we relaxed more by the pool and beach. It felt so good not to have to worry about anything. On Tuesday we took a boat to this place where you can only get to by boat. They even let us drive the boat!
There we snorkled, kayaked, and watched a cool cooking lesson. We also got to see a baby monkey and a bunch of birds. One bird even gave me a kiss! Watch out Jerry- looks like someone is moving in on your wifey! . The next day we went on a tour of the city and a tequila tour. We saw a gorgeous church.

That night we walked to the downtown area which was about 10 minutes from the resort. There we saw so many cool things. We a saw these people on this really tall pole playing music,
art, a sand robot man, and these amazing sand sculptures. . On Thursday we decided to take it easy and lay out by the pool. We had contest on who could hold there breathe the longest and who had the best hand stand. It was really fun. That night we went to a local restaurant. It was so tasty and Jerry looked so cute!

Here are some pictures of the hotel. Oh yah, when we arrived they told us we were upgraded to the master pent house suite. Complete with 1 huge California King, a huge bathroom, 2 jacozzi's (one one the balcony and one in the bathroom), a beautiful view, and a kitchen fully stocked. Here are some pictures.

Oh and did I mention that we got the all inclusive package? Hello room service and dessert!

It was the most amazing, fun trip I have ever taken. People always say your honeymoon is the best vacation you'll ever take and I believe it. So now we're back in Texas, Jerry went back to work on Monday and I'm off until August 17. The plans now are to relax, be married, go to as many rangers games as we can afford, celebrate Rustin and Amanda and Lauren and Dave getting married. Oh and we're also having a garage sale. Hopefully we'll make some mooolah. This has been a crazy/ awesome/ whirlwind of a summer!

I now pronounce you man and wife!

We did it! Me and Jerry are officially married! What an amazing day! It was absolutely perfect! Someone asked me the other day if it was the best day of my life, and I would definitely say yes! Everything went so well. The flowers were beautiful, the cake was fun and spunky, the music was perfect, and ceremony was amazing. Shawn's speech was truly touching. My favorite part of the night (besides marrying Jerry) was the last song... Stoney La Rue- Feet don't touch the ground. Everyone surrounded us and I remember thinking, "These are the people that will be there forever." I remember everything... everyone always says it's going to be a blur. I made a point to look around and take a minute to take it all in. It was most definitetly the best day of my life!

This is a picture of us after we got our marriage license a few weeks before the wedding.

This is us at the rehearsal.
Beverly and Shawn were so much fun!

Right before we were married. It was so nice seeing Jerry before the ceremony. It really helped me calm my nerves.

Santa Fe

Last weekend Jerry and I went to Santa Fe for Holly's wedding. We had so much fun! The first day we got there me, Jerry, Jane, and Glenntook a Segway Tour through Santa Fe. I loved it! Jane and Glenn try to take a Segway tour everytime they visit a new city... I think that is a good idea. Maybe me and Jerry will make that a tradition too. Here's some pictures of us on our Segway Tour.

After the tour we went to Glorieta for the rehearsal. The rehearsal was so fast! I hope mine will be that fast! The rehearsal dinner was at the most amazing house I have ever seen! It was like one of those house you see in Better Home and Gardens. The owner had 3 precious dogs, 3 huge birds (Jerry did not like the birds... I think something happened to him as a small child...just kidding)and the coolest decor ever. I wish I had pictures! The next day was wedding day!! Jerry and I started the day off by taking a hike. We followed a trail to the top of a mountain. It was beautiful. I think I could live in Santa Fe. Here's a couple of pictures... but they just don't give the beauty justice.
Cool Kid!
Wreck 'Em!

The wedding was absolutely beautiful! It was outside in the prayer garden. You couldn't have asked for a better day. The weather was perfect and Holly looked gorgeous. I loved how the boys wore flip flops and the girls wore Chacos. Here are some pictures.

Virginia

For Memorial Day weekend, Jerry and I went to Viginia. We had such a great time! Bayne and Lisa threw us a beautiful shower on Saturday. It was so much fun getting to see everyone. On Sunday, everyone came over to Karen and Larry's. We had such a great time seeing family and friends. The food was amazing too! I tried my hardest to be good, but sometimes you just have to let loose. I love going to Virginia. Everyone is so great and it's so beautiful there. I can't wait to see everyone again in July!

Kristen's Wedding

Kristen's wedding was beautiful! I had so much fun being with all of my best friends! Me, Cindy, and Andrea started the day off right by knocking on Kristen's door and singing "Going to the chapel!" After that we all went to salon to get our hair and makeup done. After that it was a whirlwind of weddingness! Pictures, wedding, reception, and sailing on the boat. The reception was amazingly beautiful. The hotel overlooked the lake and everything was decorated perfectly. Brady and Kristen sailed away on a sail boat and then came and picked up close friends. We had such a great time!

Haley is engaged!

So I know it's like 6 months late, but better late then never! The day he did it, Holly was supposed to be having a shower. Bretton asked Haley to go to lunch with him to Buffalo Wild Wings. Prior to the visit, he told the waitress to give terrible service. While they were waiting, Haley started getting really anxious. Eventually they left Buffalo Wild Wings and Bretton took her to a prayer shack that his fraternity has. Haley walked in and there were candles and music playing! He proposed and she said yes. Love it! Here are some precious engagment pictures!
