Life in the fast lane

Our life is BUSY.  In fact, that might be an understatement.  Our life is going 150 miles per hour.

A couple of months ago Jerry and I decided to put our house on the market.  We honestly thought it would take a while to sell.  Much to our surprise it had an offer in 5 days!  We started looking for a new house in Mansfield and Midlothian.  We had many nights filled with pros/cons t-charts and AEIS reports (this is a report that each school completes- it has very valuable information (test scores, student to teacher ratio, etc).  At first it was fun and exciting, then it became exhausting.  We looked and looked and just couldn't find the right house.

Then finally one day, we found it!!! It's perfect!  It's a 3 bedroom and has 2.5 baths.  The house has an open game room and a study that we plan on converting into a bedroom.  It's everything we want and it's 2 minutes from my sister's house!  In fact, Reagan and Luke will go to the same school and be in the same grade.

Currently, we are packing up our house and trying to balance closings, the various appointments you have when you are buying/selling a house, work, and an 11 month old.

On top of buying a house, a couple of months ago I thought it would be a good idea to take my Principal certification exam.  Why I thought this was a good idea when we are selling our house, I don't really know.  However, I did pass!  So that's exciting!

We are also planning Reagan's first birthday party.  It's going to be at the new house.  Boxes might be everywhere, but that's okay!  We also had her 1 year pictures taken today and I can't wait to see them.

Needless to say, we are so excited and ready!

11 Months

Reagan is 1 month away from being a 1 year old!!! Time is flying!!!  Jerry and I look at at her all the time and say, "When did you get to be such a big girl?"  It's amazing how fast time goes by.  It's like I looked up and it was spring.  Next thing I know, it will be summer!!

Here are some pictures from this past month:

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

Happy baby!

Over Spring Break, Andrea, Jenny, and Bradley came over!  It was just like the old days at Tech plus a couple of babies.

 Grannie and Reagie!

We celebrated Easter early with Jerry's side of the family.   Could this be any cuter??

Miss Mary and Reagan- Showing off there bunny ears.

Reagan showing off her Virgina game day gear.  Too bad they lost :(
 This girl loves the park!

Eat: Reagan loves to eat fruit and grilled chicken.  She's not so into the veggies.  I'm going to have to start getting creative.

Play:  This girl is everywhere!!!! One minute she's chasing the dogs and the next she is pulling bowls out of the cabinet.  This month she has become quite the bitter.  Anytime she is playing with another child she has to be watched closely.  Otherwise, chomp, chomp, chomp.

Sleep:  We have a pretty good routine going right now.
Between 5:30-6:  she eats dinner
6:15 ish- take a bath or play
6:45ish- she has a bottle and plays until around 7:30
7:30- we read a couple of books and then it's time for bed.  We usually snuggle for a couple of minutes and then she pushes us away.  That's when we know it's time to put her in her crib.

She usually wakes up between 6-6:30.  This is great on the weekdays because it works perfectly with us working.  We are still working on sleeping in on the weekends. ;)

Accomplishments/ Tricks/ Discoveries:  Reagan learned how to blow kisses!  This makes my heart so happy!  She has also started standing up without holding on to anything for a couple of seconds.  She also walks along the couch (while holding on).  It's so fun watching her.  Everything is interesting to her.  Reagan has also started wearing bows without a head band!  Sure they might be barely hanging on, but we don't care!

Reagan,

I thank God for you everyday. You are the sweetest baby and I am so blessed to have you as my daughter.  Your giggles and smiles melt my heart!  I love you so much!
