Dallas Arboretum

This past Sunday we decided to take Reagan to the Dallas Arboretum.  We got there around 9ish and stayed until 11ish.  After the Dallas Arboretum we decided to be brave and go to lunch at Matt's.  We had a blast! Here are some pictures:

This area will be fun for Reagan maybe next summer.  It's a little splash area for kids to play in.

This might seem silly, but Jerry and I were really proud of ourselves for taking Reagan out for the day.  I told Jerry a while back, "I feel like we are playing house."  He agreed and added, "Except it's for real!"  Each time I go out with Reagan, I feel more and more confident.  I really enjoy getting her out and I think she does too.  We are by no means perfect, but we are starting to get our grove.

In other news, Reagan has recently started to put herself to sleep in her crib (most of the time)!  We have been working really hard on not letting her fall asleep on us all the time (maybe just once a day.)  It's taken us a couple of weeks, but Reagan is doing it!  You go girl!

2 Months!

Reagan is 2 months!  I can't believe it!  Where has the time gone!

So here are some facts about Reagan at 2 months:

She loves to go on walks in the mornings.  That has become our morning routine.  It works out perfectly.  Usually Reagan wakes up between 6-7(we are working on getting her to sleep until 7, but she pretty much does what she wants :))  I feed her and get dressed and then we head up to the Ballpark.  I have discovered that 1 lap around the Ballpark is about half a mile.  I try to walk/jog 4-5 laps around the stadium.  I'm really out of shape, but you have to start somewhere.   Reagan sleeps the entire time.    I like going there because there are lots of people, security, and shade.  Karen also bought this fan for her in the car.  We love it!

Reagan is also full of smiles!  She's happiest after she eats, but I guess who isn't?  She loves when we smack our lips and make silly sounds.  She has also begun tracking and moving her head to sounds and toys. She makes me so proud!

This super cute outfit was made by Cindy!  Reagan is definitively a future KD Lady!

Reagan also enjoys playing on her play mat!  She kicks her legs and gets really excited.  It's just so stinking cute!

As far as sleep goes, Reagan is a pretty good sleeper.  On July 3rd and 4th she slept for 8 hours straight!  Can I get a hallelujah?!  Jerry said he kept on waking up and checking to make sure she was still breathing.  I was so proud.  We are moving in the right direction Reagan!  Keep it up!  We have discovered that Reagan likes to go to bed between 7:45-8:45 and wake up between 5:45-7.  I'm sure I won't be saying this in a month or so, but I kind of like getting up with her at 3 am.  It's like our own little special snuggle time.  She also is a sleep walker.  She moves all over that crib!  It's so funny.

This is me trying to get a picture of her before she takes a nap... haha

Reagan loves bath time.  Jerry is in charge of baths most of the time.  He's so good with her.  Her favorite part is "free time" at the very end.  Her least favorite part is getting out of the tub.

Eating is also another favorite activity.  This little girl can eat!  During the day she usually eats every 2.5-3 hours.  Usually at night she eats every 4.5-5 hours.  I've noticed the past couple of days she is eating 12-18 minutes as oppose to 25ish minutes.  I was a little worried, but I read that babies usually become more efficient eaters around this age.

I love her so much.  These 2 months have really flown by.  I can't wait to see what this next month has in store for us.  We love you Reagan!

4th of July

Happy Independence Day!  We had a great time spending time with family and friends.
The morning of the 4th we went to Jerry's grandmother's retirement community.  There they had a golf cart parade and a luncheon.  Here are some pictures:

 Granny with Reagan

After visiting with Granny, George, Glenn, and Jane we went over to Rustin and Amanda's house.  It was really fun visiting with friends.  Amanda is 36 weeks pregnant.  We can't wait to meet Miss Mackenlie!  Her, Reagan, and Easton are going to be best buds!

This is a picture of Reagan and her 4th of July tutu.  Thanks Megan for precious outfit!

The next day we went over to my parents house for yummy brisket!  Reagan and Claire Bear hung out.  Claire is such a sweet cousin.  She helped me lay the blanket out and set up the toys for Reagan.  I can already tell Claire, Luke, and Reagan are going to be best friends.

Our first 4th of July as parents was a success!  I hope everyone had a great 4th!
