Bark at the Park!

This is our third year to go to Bark at the Park!  Jerry started the day off by taking Rowdy and Lucy for a very long walk.  After their walk, I met him and the dogs at an Elementary school by our house and we played on the playground and played chase.  We wanted to make sure they were somewhat tired before going to the game.  Lucy and Rowdy are good dogs apart, but when they are together they are BAD!  They are constantly wanting to be the dog in front and they just don't listen.... Please God, don't let our children be this way!

Here are some pictures:

Finally on the field!!!
When we rounded the corner toward the Ranger's Dug out, we first saw Laura Bush.  Next we saw President Bush and Nolan Ryan!  George was definitely smiling at Lucy and Rowdy...I think he likes Labs!

After the Puppy Parade we went to our seats.  In the past we sat directly behind left field, but this year we were a little late buying tickets.  We sat in section 201 which is on the second deck, kind of near the kiddie area.
It was very-VERY hot up there!  Not to worry... Jerry and I came prepared! I brought a bag full of goodies that included a gallon of water, towels (to wipe off drool), doggie treats, sunscreen, and a bowl for water.  We literally poured the water on to the dogs to keep them cool.  I was not completely satisfied and was still worried they were getting too hot... I know... I'm a bit overprotective.  So we sacrificed our drool towels, soaked them in water and put them on the dogs heads.

As you can see, Lucy and Rowdy were happy campers!  The people around us either thought we were geniuses or idiots... either way, our dogs were happy!

Lucy only tried to steal someone's hotdogs once... that's pretty good for Lucy! :)

We also got to see Jane and Glenn at the game!

When we got home, we gave the dogs a bath and they completely crashed out!  In fact, they are still pretty tired from yesterdays adventures!  Hooray for Bark at the Park!  GO RANGERS!
